Steven L. Sutton Obituary

Steven L. (Bud) Sutton, 81, of Pittsfield, Pennsylvania, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024 at home. He was born June 8, 1943 in Titusville, PA to Lawrence D. and Rachel A. Hopkins Sutton. The family moved to Pittsfield in 1948 where Steve spent most of his life.


He graduated in 1961 from Youngsville High School and continued his education in Fredonia, NY. He taught Earth Science at Warren High School, from there, he owned the Scandia Store then returned to Pittsfield to open Creekside Furniture Barn.


He loved music and was a member of The Villagers and later part of Country Conversion Gospel Band. Piano was his instrument of choice but he could play almost anything he picked up as well as composing music.


He is survived by his wife, Sally; their son, Benjamin and his wife Sarah; two beloved grandsons, Welles and Whitacre, of Akeley, PA; his sister, Marilee A. and her husband, David Kell of Youngsville, PA and nieces and nephews.


Services will be private at the discretion of the family.
