Stewart “Stew” Pulliam, 67, of Sugar Grove, passed away Tuesday June 7, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Erie after an extended illness.
Stew was born July 29, 1955 in Spencer, West Virginia to the late Thomas and Chloris (Cottrell) Pulliam and worked at Betts Corporation at the Lamp Plant in Starbrick in quality control, retiring after 43 years. He was a founding member of the Bull Run Sportsman Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, bowling, throwing horseshoes, playing pool and spending time with his family and friends.
Stew is survived by his loving wife Sue (Storms) Pulliam, whom he married January 19, 1974 in Sugar Grove, a daughter, Jamie Pullian and her companion Kevin Zaffino, an acquired daughter, Natalie (Brad) Hartley, his siblings, Sharon Pulliam, Sam Pulliam, Steve Pulliam, Shelia Peate, grandchildren, Logan and his fiancee Emily, Bailey, Conner, Jacob, Kobe and Stella and many nieces, nephews, aunts , uncles and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeremiah "Jake" Pulliam on January 5, 2002 and a brother, Stacey Pulliam in 1991
A celebration of life will be held at a later date that will be announced.
