Thomas Gentz Obituary

Thomas R. Gentz, 69, of Pittsfield, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024, after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).

He was born on December 19, 1954 in Warren, a son to the late Robert and Beth (Higgins) Gentz. Tom graduated from Youngsville High School in 1972 and then went on to graduate from The Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. He led a very successful life among being an esteemed Pharmacist, Tom took over his family owned Pharmacy in Youngsville, formerly known as The Jones Pharmacy. He had a real passion for natural herbal medicine. He was a selfless man led by his desire to help others, accompanied by his big smile and infectious humor. He was the guy who stepped up and assumed responsibility regardless if it was his burden to bear. To know Tom, was to know that his loyalty was unmatched. Tom leaves his footprint on the world and those he crossed paths with better than when he found them.

He was a member of the Youngsville American Legion Post #658, Sugar Grove AMVETS, the Moose, Eagles Club and Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. He loved 4-wheeling, going to the beach, kayaking, flying his RC planes and kites, shooting darts, and most of all, spending time with his family, friends and pets. He lived life as a fun and free spirit and his absence is felt, but we know his peace has been found. He will forever be missed in the community.
