Troy Moore Obituary

Troy Alan Moore, 55, of Tidioute, Pa, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, November 9, 2021 at Warren General Hospital.

He was born on January 13, 1966 in Titusville, Pa, a son to the late Janet (Wharry) Moore and Jack Dennis Moore Sr. who survives him, of Tidioute. Troy was a 1985 graduate of Tidioute High School where he took 3 years of machine shop at the Warren Vo-Tech.

Besides his wonderful children, his greatest accomplishment, & his work, his greatest pleasure was the 31 years married to Deb. They were high school sweethearts whom started fishing together at the ages 15 and 18.
Troy mostly enjoyed fishing, trapping and hunting. He loved the great-outdoors, whether it was his work as a logger, being on his boat in the river, or hunting with his father. Troy was a gentle giant that would call his cats in each night, even when campers were in to hear his calls. He had a special bond with animals and a soothing and calm disposition that he learned from the upbringing as a game commissioner’s son. He always took in animals that would have never had a chance. Troy would always say, “I’ll pay for the vet Deb, its just money”. Deb always said “I love that guy, what a sweet heart”, and that he was.

He saved numerous lives; one guy trapped in a burning car, one newspaper delivery man trapped in his car and always helped anyone he could.

Troy had just recently passed his motorcycle safety course but never got a chance to ride together with Deb as a licensed couple. He never wanted a motorcycle until a year after Deb wanted hers. They would do date night and she would ride her bike and meet him at the restaurant. After he got his bike, he enjoyed when they would ride to Benezette to see the elk.
He had numerous friends that meant the world to him and his bosses, Chris Cochran and Dan Zandi, whom just passed away, were always so caring, thoughtful and loved very much by Troy. Everyone loved Troy and no words can express how much he will be greatly missed.

In addition to his father, Troy is survived by his loving wife, Debra (Carnahan) Moore, who he married on June 2, 1990 at their home. He is also survived by his children, Jacob Alan Moore and his companion, Loralee Lindemuth, of Tidioute and Hayley Marie Moore of Youngsville; his sisters, Connie (Rick) Peterson of Tidioute, Crystal (Ted) Gertsch of Warren; a brother, Jack (Lisa) Moore Jr. of Clarion, Pa; his sister in law’s, Jeanna Carnahan and Melinda (Dave) Wees; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and numerous friends who Troy was always willing to help. He always put the need of others before his own.

Along with his mother, Troy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Dorothy Wharry; his paternal grandparents, Bertha and Ernie Moore; his in-laws, Larry and Dorothy Carnahan, who loved Troy like their son, and a great-niece, Izzy Peterson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 15, at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, in Youngsville, from 11-1pm at which time a funeral service will be held there with the Rev. Dale Timco, pastor of the Allegheny Bible Church in Tidioute, officiating. A luncheon will follow at 2:30pm at the Tidioute fire hall.
