Vera R. Kellogg, 78, of Youngsville, Pa., passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at the Rouse Warren County Home in Youngsville.

Born on February 10th, 1945, Vera was an active and busy mom, wife, and friend. She loved Thanksgiving, Christmas, and all of her kids (most of the time). Playing games, such as Uno, Rumikub, and Rummy, with her family, and making jam and hard tack candy, and quilting, were just some of the things she loved. She also loved horseback riding, and spending time with her animals, especially her Boxers, and Cindy Sue. Vera will be remembered for her sense of humor and her genuine smile. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her mother, Rena Smith, she was preceded in death by her brother Ernest Smith; sisters Luella Braley, Janet Brown, Caroline Wilcox, Norma Larson.

Surviving Vera is her loving husband, George, and her children Todd (Cheri) Kellogg of Warren, Connie Kellogg of Youngsville, Sonya Kellogg and her companion Bob Darts of Sugar Grove; siblings Rodney Smith of Page Hollow and Lela Lisk of North Carolina; grandchildren Joe, Robin, AJ, Ryon, Cody, Gracie, and Allison; great-grandchildren Evelyn, Harley, and Simon.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, December 28th, 2023, from 4-7pm at the Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 314 North Main St, Youngsville. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 29th , at 1pm at the First Lutheran Church, 109 West 3rd Ave, Warren, PA. with the Pastor Jeff Ewing officiating.
