William Douglas Havle, 47, of Clarendon, Pa, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pa after an extended illness.
He was born on September 22, 1974 in Nuremberg, Germany, a son to James Havle of Valley Springs, CA and Devera (Malloy) Havle of Wichita, KS. Doug was a US Army veteran. He baked in the kitchen at the Marienville State Prison for some time until he started working at the Warren State Hospital. He enjoyed metal music and playing pool and darts, as he was in a dart league at the Town Tavern and loved to read. He enjoyed Egyptology and was known for his wise cracks and joking personality. Doug was a baseball purist and his favorite team to root for was the LA Dodgers.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Kristi (Fox) Havle who he married on October 21, 2011 in Warren, Pa; his children, Ashley Marie Havle of Delray Beach, FL, Jason and Christopher Havle both of Jamestown, NY, Hayden and Gaven Havle both of Warren, Pa; his grandchildren, Jakob, Roman, Ruby and Amari; his siblings, Edie Havle-Brown of Paradise, CA, Neal Havle of Moorpark, CA and Judy Cauthorn of Valley Springs, CA; his brother from another mother, Rick Confer, of Warren, Pa; his step-mother, Nancy Havle of Valley Springs, CA and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his aunt, Kathy Havle.
A celebration of Doug will be held on Saturday, March 12, starting at 1pm at the Clarendon VFW, 22 Brown Avenue, Clarendon, Pa 16313.
