William J. Molek, Jr. Obituary
William Jerome Molek Jr. was born October 2, 1962 in Cleveland, Ohio, the oldest child of Carol and William Molek Sr. Known to his family as Billy, he spent a lot of his childhood and many fond moments throughout his adult years along the river in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains in Pennsylvania. A diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, most Sundays you could find him planted in front of a television, Terrible Towel in hand, cheering on the team he so deeply loved. A thrill seeker himself, and coming from a long line of Harley Davidson enthusiasts, it is no surprise Billy enjoyed taking his bike out. Some of his favorite rides being generational with his father and son in tow.
Billy was free spirited and lived life to the absolute fullest on his terms. He was legendary status, often times sharing the role of both host and life of every party. Usually, he was the loudest person in the room with his larger than life personality. Billy had a passion for cooking and always seemed to find the way to everyone’s heart through their stomach. Equal parts sarcasm and sweetness, he had a talent for driving people crazy while simultaneously melting their hearts. To know him was to love him.
He is survived by his father, William Molek Sr.; six children, William Benedict (Allison), Jamie Downey (Andrew), Christopher Molek (Tiffany), Cassandra Molek (Hunter), Jamee Kachele (Cody), Cecelia Molek (Griffin); 9 grandchildren, Mason and Caleb Molek, Jadyn Bynum, Riley Downey, Emilia, Elena and Piper Kachele, Jaxon and Claire Benedict; siblings: Laure Helscel (Gary) and Terry Molek (Dana); multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. Also, a magnitude of friends he saw as family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Molek and two brothers, Joseph Molek and Donald Molek.
The void Billy’s absence will leave is immeasurable but his presence will always be felt by those who loved him.
