Winona R. “Edie” McChesney, 84, of Tidioute, PA, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026 at the Kinzua Healthcare & Rehab Center in Warren.

She was born in Warren, PA, on October 9, 1941, a daughter to the late Clyde and Bernice (MacAvoy) Hannah. Edie was a member of the Allegheny Bible Church in Tidioute. She was passionate about her faith and loved the Lord. She enjoyed singing hymns and gatherings with her family.

Edie is survived by her children, Ralph McChesney Jr. of NC, Jonathan McChesney of Tidioute, Michael (Uli) McChesney of Germany, Patrick McChesney of Tidioute and Lisa Proper of Warren, her grandchildren, Desiree, Kara, Logan, Brynn, Michael and Eileen, several great-grandchildren, her siblings, Sherry Check of Tidioute, Pat Eastman of Spring Creek, Toni (Bruce) Bean of Spring Creek, Nancy (Harry) Sheckler of Tidioute and Bonnie McCune of Pittsfield as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Edie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph McChesney, her sister, Sandra Morrison and 4 brothers, Craig, Kevin, Michael and Shannon Hannah.

A celebration of life for Edie and her husband, Ralph will be held at a later date.

The family would like to send a thank you to the Kinzua Healthcare and Rehab Center in Warren, for the wonderful care they gave Edie throughout the years.
