Edward J. McDonald, 69, passed away on Wednesday, December, 24, 2014.  

Born November 30, 1945, in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Malecki) McDonald.   He married Linda Miller on August 13, 1964, in French Creek, NY.   Edward and Linda lived in Tonawanda, NY for 35 years before moving to Lottsville, PA in 2010.  

Edward was employed as a diesel technician for many years.  His hobbies included riding motorcycle, camping, hunting, fishing, Yahtzee, playing cards and working on vehicles.  Above all, Edward loved spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Luke’s Church in Youngsville, PA.

In addition to his wife of 50 years, Edward is survived by , four daughters,  Teresa (Jeffery) Johnson of Grand Valley, PA, Cynthia (Chris) Garber of N. Tonawanda, NY, Charlene (Daniel) Fohrd of Springcreek, PA and Tammy (Rick) Palmer of N. Tonawanda, NY; a son, Jeffrey (Denise) Bollinger of Harrington, DE; 13 grandchildren, 5  great grandchildren and one unborn.  In addition, he is survived by his siblings, John McDonald, Gert Barringer, Patricia Milewski, Mary Oliveri, Louise Montgomery, Florence Barrett, Cecelia Doknovitch, and his mother-in-law Wanda Miller, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  

In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by two sisters Frances Buszka and Elizabeth Hugg.  

Friends and family will be received at Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 North Main Street in Youngsville, on Sunday, December 28, from 1:00- 5:00pm. A vigil service will be held there on Sunday at 4:30 PM. Visitation will also be held 1 hour prior to a  Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM at St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. John Neff, serving as celebrant.  Interment will be in St. Matthias Cemetery in French Creek, NY.  

In lieu of flowers, the family strongly suggests, memorial donations may be made to St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church, 420 North Main Street, Youngsville, Pa. 16371, or Wrightsville Vol. Fire Dept., 1404 Bull Hill Road, Pittsfield, Pa. 16340.
