Gene R. Anderson Sr., 72 of Scranton Hollow Rd in Warren, passed away June 2, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, surrounded by his family.

He was born June 16, 1948 in Warren, to the late Richard and Ila Mae (Scrandreth) Anderson. Gene served in the Army National Guard and worked as a dispatcher at Crossett in Warren for many years. He was all things racing; He loved Sprint cars, Modified, Drag Racing and NASCAR and riding Gold Wing Motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife Nana Wilcox Anderson, whom he married June 14, 1969 in Jamestown NY, his children, Tammi (Martin) Lundmark of Spartanburg, SC, Gene Anderson Jr. of Erie, Jason Anderson and Jerod (Priscilla) Anderson, both of Warren, a brother Tim (Nancy) Anderson of Warren and a sister, Linda (Brad) Anderson of Ashville, NY, 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and his 2 furry companions, Dozer and Rylee.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society 2825 Strunk Rd., Jamestown, NY 14701.
