Frank H. "Tiny” Mathers, 73, of Youngsville, passed away Thursday August 12, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born October 3, 1947 in Distant, PA, to Charles and Alcidine (Himes) Mathers. Frank was a 1965 graduate of Youngsville High School, and was a member of the Youngsville football team.  He then went on to serve in the US Navy from 1966 to 1970. He was retired from Crossett Incorporated where he drove for over 32 years.  He was a "Million Mile Man," driving almost 2 million total miles without any incidents. He also worked at Walkers Dairy as a milkman. He was a member of the Youngsville American Legion, Jaycee's, and the Otterbein Methodist Church.

More than anything, Frank loved his family and made sure that they were always cared for.  He was quick to make people smile with his quippy sayings.

Frank is survived by his loving wife Susan F. (Hartley) Mathers, whom he married on March 30, 1968 in Warren, his children; Harlan (Julia) Mathers of Virginia and Sonia Mathers of Erie, a sister; Patricia Marie Cole of Warren, his grandchildren; Sebastian, Abigal, Megan, Joshua, Aaron and Liesl and great grandsons Connor and Kane Freed.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his brother John Mathers.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday August 21 at 11:30 am at the Otterbein Church in Pittsfield. Visitation will be held for 1 hour prior to the service. Members of the Youngsville American Legion Honor Guard will provide full military honors at the church.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Warren County, Warren Cancer Center, or Otterbein United Methodist Church.

Sonia, I am very sorry for your loss. Dean has shared with me how close you were to your father. I know there are no words that can help when we loose a Loved one. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May the Lord comfort you as you navigate this next chapter in your life.

Dearest Sue and family, This is such unexpected news for me. What an incredible man. You chose very well, Sue when you gave your everything to Tiny. And I was so honored to be part of your wedding many years ago. His nickname was "Tiny" but he was so much more, he was a gentle giant of a man, a human being. Much respect to him for his commitment to family, his stellar work ethic, and kindness and love to those who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. May your precious memories sustain you through your grieving process. My love you Deb. RIP dearest Tiny.
